Amazon s3: How Does It Work?
While many Insiders have likely at least heard of Amazon S3, how many know exactly what it’s for and how it could benefit their site?
If your membership site includes a lot of videos, audios, etc, then Amazon S3 could help to speed things up and allow for easier content uploads.
Uploading large or many files to your WordPress site is certainly possible, but think of it this way… Just because you CAN store all your stuff in the middle of your kitchen, doesn’t mean you should.
So why not store that stuff in a more out of the way place in order to speed up traffic and keep things tidy?
