This phrase comes up a couple times in this forum thread.
“Plan, Plan, Plan.”
In this case, the planning is referring to content creation for a membership site.
An Insider is looking for ideas and methods to provide quality content to their members. So, what are the steps towards coming up with ideas and actually producing content?
That is a legitimate question and one that deserves consideration.
Of course, there are additional questions that also come up when thinking about content creation.
Do you have a content strategy?
Where do you get your content ideas?
Does your content engage your members?
Lets dig into this forum thread a bit more.
How far out do you plan your content?
Keep in mind, that isn’t asking how much actual content you create in advance. It’s looking to find out how much planning you do for the over all content strategy.
You may have content planned for the next 12 months, but only have actual content created for the next few weeks.
There is a difference between planning and creating.
It usually comes down to a personal comfort level when deciding how many blog posts to write or videos to record in advance. Some people are good with creating new content in spurts every few days while others like to take a week or two and create content that will cover the next few months or more.
How do you like to create your content?
Are you comfortable with your current content creation process?
This forum thread starts with a question and touches on the following topics:
- Content Strategy
- Content Ideas
- Content that Engages the Audience
Each of these topics plays off the other as content is an important aspect to many membership sites.
