Members can login and access protected content.
That is usually the bare minimum expected from a membership site.
But what happens if that is only half right?
The login functionality seems to work fine until they try to access a members-only section. Then it asks them to login again. Didn’t they already login? They definitely did.
So why is it asking them to do it again?
That is a very good question.
This is obviously a problem everyone wants to avoid.
Being asked multiple times to login doesn’t do much to provide members with a positive experience. This can become annoying very quickly. Some members may reach out to report the issue while others may simply choose to cancel and not return.
What is the cause of the problem?
This forum thread brings up the possibility of caching. A cache plugin or some form of caching at the server level can sometimes contribute to login issues.
But even if the source of the frustration turns out to be cache based, what are the next step?
