WishList Insider – Forum Focus 18

We realize a lot can happen throughout the course of a week. Everyone can become busy with a little of “this” and a lot of “that” during their day to day lives so it’s not always easy to keep on top of all the useful and helpful posts within the Insider Forums.

For these reasons we have decided to apply some focus to a number of posts each week that we believe can benefit our Members.

Read on for summaries and links to this week’s “Forum Focus” Posts.

Admin Management Xtended Plugin

This thread was started a few months back but a recent “Thanks for recommending this” post has bumped it back up into the WishList Insider consciousness.

Steve recommends a “time-saver” plugin named Admin Management Xtended that will allow you to better control your Posts and Pages.

In the thread, it is explained that a column is added that allows the following options:

  • Toggle visibility
  • Change publication date
  • Change the post/page title inline
  • Edit post slug
  • Toggle comment status open/closed

Even more features are discussed as the thread continued. Check it out if you are a fan of saving time 😉

Exit Pop-ups – What Do You Think?

This is a bit of a “hot topic” as most people have an opinion on exit pop ups.

Love them or hate them, they are out there.

Do you actually read pop ups or simply click the “x” to banish them back to the dark corners of the internet where they came from? 🙂

This thread addresses the possible benefits to pop ups (if used correctly)

Stop by and let everyone know if you are using pop ups successfully on your site or if you have had good (or bad) experiences with pop ups.

HELP!!!

In this thread, the call goes out from a fellow Insider in regards to how they can attract more members – something everyone strives for.

The replies from other Insiders are solid! Lots of great advice that most everyone can use is imparted and there’s always room for more!

Pay Per Click is addressed and some alternatives are offerd up as well to more encourage traffic which will ultimately result in more members.

  1. @Wray…Loved the exit pop up thread. I am sutre all off us have experienced the dreaded, “But wait, don’t go yet”, pop up insanity.

Did we just hear the death groans of the pop up?

    • Wray says:

I don’t know… I still think exit pop ups can be used for the forces of good! 😉

They just have to be used correctly. I get into that a bit more in the forum thread.

“May the pop up force be with you” 😀
