WishList Insider Forum Focus – 01

We realize a lot can happen throughout the course of a week.  Everyone can become busy with a little of “this” and a lot of “that” during their day to day lives so it’s not always easy to keep on top of all the useful and helpful posts within the Insider Forums.

For these reasons we have decided to apply some focus to a number of posts each week that we believe can benefit our Members.

Read on for summaries and links to this week’s “Forum Focus” Posts.

Big Door Plugin (gamify your wordpress blog)

What is “gamification”?  If you’re like me, you had never heard of this term before.  I can say that after checking out this post started by Gary Ditsch I am certainly intrigued by this approach being taken by some web site owners and developers.

For the most part, people like to play games when given the opportunity (myself included) so perhaps you can attract more members if you “gamify” your site.

  1. Wray…I like this post. Please keep it up on a weekly basis. With respects to the gamify post, I am adding a “Just For Fun”, page to my site.

    • Wray says:

Yeah I’m thinking this will be a good weekly reminder and notifier for everyone.

I REALLY like the idea of a “Just For Fun” section. I’m a big believer in the fact that if you make something FUN and enjoyable, people are going to come back.

That obviously doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but it’s surprising how often the “fun factor” is not included in many aspects of day to day living.

  2. Michael Johnson says:

Wary I agree with @David. Keep em coming.

    • Wray says:

Sure thing, @Michael. The feedback for this series has been all positive so far which means we will keep them coming 🙂
