The WishList Team is working on a new version of WishList Member that will be released in the near future and we are looking for some potential BETA Testers.
BETA Testers will be given a pre-release version of WishList Member and asked to use it and report back any issues you may run into while testing. We ask that you keep in mind that this is a BETA version and may have issues or bugs so it is not recommended to be used on any active or high traffic sites.
The main addition to this version of WishList Member is a new Support tab and Support section on the WishList Member Dashboard. Users can now view and reply to existing tickets and submit new tickets directly inside the WishList Member plugin in either of those two sections.
Please feel free to submit a ticket to our Support Department with the following subject line if you are interesting in BETA testing WishList Member.
Subject: WishList Member BETA Tester
Please note that we may not be able to accept all BETA Tester submissions depending on the number of submissions we receive.
We thank you for your assistance.
I was so blown away by the positive response I received with the last “My 3 Favorite WordPress Themes” article that a follow-up seemed like a good idea.
Exploring for new WordPress plugins and themes is something I absolutely LOVE. It’s like a treasure hunt and when That special one is discovered, it can be very exciting!
Our wonderful members here within the Insider have stepped up once again to share their own favorite themes with me.
Now I get to share these fantastic finds with you!
What’s been happening this week inside WishList Insider?

Each social economic group has its own set of overall characteristics and what’s received well by one group of people may not be as welcomed elsewhere.
Marketing toward the Elderly does include many of the same tips you should use with other groups. Avoid taboos, target relevant issues and needs, and center your advertisements around that group so they’ll indentify with what you are offering.
What makes marketing toward the elderly so enticing is the higher level of disposable income and time. The elderly control the higher percentage of wealth yet only 10% of advertisements are directed toward them.
With such a large financial group and so little competition, it’s no wonder many companies are starting to target this lucrative group.
With that in mind, here are some tips so you can tap the valuable “Silver Market”.
We realize a lot can happen throughout the course of a week. Everyone can become busy with a little of “this” and a lot of “that” during their day to day lives so it’s not always easy to keep on top of all the useful and helpful posts within the Insider Forums.
For these reasons we have decided to apply some focus to a number of posts each week that we believe can benefit our Members.
Read on for summaries and links to this week’s “Forum Focus” Posts.
Do you enjoy being given free stuff? I know that I certainly do.
How about if you WIN that free item? Even better, right?
There is a specific rush of adrenaline that comes with successfully winning a contest. You get a little “charge” when you find out that you are going to be receiving something unexpected with no cost tied to it.
Contests bring those feelings to your members. Everyone wants to win stuff so why not incorporate a contest into your site to get everyone involved (and returning to find out the winners).
Continue on for 3 contest types that I believe will keep your members coming back for more!
This video by WishList Insider Contributor David Walsh explains how to easily add a contact form (which can be used as a Support Request Form) to your site.
It’s a very easy process (installing and configuring a plugin) that can help to lighten the load of dealing with member requests and questions.
This can be an extremely handy feature if you are not yet ready to incorporate a fully functional Support System.
Note that this tutorial uses Contact Form 7 as an example, but any Contact Form can be used.
Creating a successful and must sample membership site is much like baking a cake.
Some parts are more important than others, but successful owners know to use all the right ingredients. A cake recipe concentrating mainly on flour would fail miserably, and the same philosophy can be applied toward membership sites.
Believing that one single aspect is a “fix-all” and the results are a membership site sure to fail.
So what are some of the ingredients required for an irresistible membership Site?
Thanks to the valuable tips I learned at BlogWorld from Patrick O’Keefe, Chris Garrett, Lara Kulpa, and Jeremy Wright you’ll learn how to whip up a profitable membership site that will keep everyone coming back for more!
