A Great Resource For Membership Eye Candy

Ok so you’ve created some content but “bringing it to life” is another story.

Remember, the more visual your content, the more attractive it becomes.

And if it’s attractive, more people will consume it.

An easy way to “jazz it up” is to add some pictures.

Here’s a great site for royalty free pictures as well as my hard learned strategy for saving a few bucks along the way…

The Amish Secret to Business Success

Roughly 50% of most businesses fail within five years.

Yet Amish businesses thrive with a 90% – 95% success rate. How does a group of individuals who on average have completed up to an 8th grade education, have little to no access to internet marketing, and that refrains from using most of the technology we couldn’t imagine living without achieve such a high level of success?

What’s the Amish Secret to Business Success?

Retention Strategy #7 – Member Motivation

When you hear the word “motivation”, what do you think of?

A “pump up” rally or some motivational tapes?

Those are good, but there is something else that will also motivate your members and it’s extremely effective for retaining members as well.

(and it doesn’t have anything to do with “pump up” rallies or motivational tapes!)

The Pareto Principle: All about the 80/20 Rule

The 80/20 rule or Pareto Principle states the eighty percent (80%) of events come from twenty percent (20%) of causes.

Examples include:

  • 80% of the wealth belongs to 20% of the people.
  • 20% of people commit 80% of crimes.
  • 80% of sales come from 20% of clients as a general sale for business.

In short, expect to see roughly 80% of your results from 20% of your efforts.

While not an exact rule, (there are always exceptions) you can still expect to see some sort of unequal relationship between events and causes.

In your case it may be a 90/10 or 70/30 split – maybe even 99/1.

Despite the exact ratio in your business, here’s how the Pareto Principle can help you.

Being a part of the WishList Products team is wonderful. It has really been a wonderful experience and everyone is great.

Creating content is part of my job here and I need to do this on a regular basis.

I love writing and that is never a problem. I easily come up with ideas for resourceful articles and then here it comes. The actual content, which as you know is a very important part of any article.

A good idea may come to mind, but without content and valuable information, the idea is worthless. Sometimes I have a loss for words and need to go on the search. This for me is the best part.

Do Superior Products and Services Guarantee Success?

Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.

This seems to be the prevailing business advice from most people. Make something better and you’ll be guaranteed success – an improved product or service alone is all you need to make a profit.

That’s not exactly true.

The Apple Newton, Star Computers, and Betamax were all arguably better products then their predecessors, but the products I just listed are not around today. Although you could say the Newton survived through its spiritual sequels – the iPhone and iPad.

Read on and see why better products and services don’t always translate into success.
