WishList Insider – Forum Focus 10

We realize a lot can happen throughout the course of a week.  Everyone can become busy with a little of “this” and a lot of “that” during their day to day lives so it’s not always easy to keep on top of all the useful and helpful posts within the Insider Forums.

For these reasons we have decided to apply some focus to a number of posts each week that we believe can benefit our Members.

Review of Showit – The “Free To Be Me” Application

I was actually working on a different article when I came across the Showit application.

It showcased one of my friend’s son’s senior pictures. I thought to myself, “If this app can do this with someone’s family photos, just imagine what it could do for a service or product.”

If nothing else, you are going to have a blast not only trying this app, but also watching your creation unfold before your eyes. It is truly remarkable.

I suppose the best way to describe Showit is to say that it allows you to create a visually appealing and active presentation for your website.

Advantages of Evergreen Content on Your Membership Site Part 2

As you learned in a previous article, “evergreen” content is information without an expiration date (or a shelf life so long it’s practically timeless). Thus, it’s never truly out of date.

Compare that to “expirable” content which is information that matters now (like a local sporting event), but will fall out of interest within a few weeks.

Inside The Insider – Episode 29

What’s been happening this week inside WishList Insider?

“Las Vegas” is the name of the game in the office as we are all working hard to finish preparations for WLM LIVE 2010 taking place NEXT week!  We are all very excited for this and hope to see you all there 🙂

That being said, there is a slightly somber note during this episode as it is revealed that one of the co-hosts will be leaving the WishList Products home base.  This is not a joke and is the last episode to contain both Faye and Wray from the WishList Products office.

They discuss…

  • WishList Member LIVE 2010 in Las Vegas
  • The opportunity for YOU to become a WishList Insider Contributer
  • A Special Guest (potential new co-host?) pops in to say hello
  • The winner of the “Wray and Faye in Las Vegas” contest in Announced!

Why Social Networking Isn’t Right For You… Yet

Social networking is a direct form of communication that allows you and another person to respond directly to each other.

An example is a Facebook page where you post an article and your readers reply back, which are then answered by you and so on. Many companies use social networking since it’s another stream to promote and address customer concerns.

It’s a powerful form of communication that’s bringing in profits for many companies; so is social networking for you?

To find out, think of social networking as a seed in your garden. Left by itself, it’ll wither and produce no fruit like a non-updated blog or Twitter feed.

Give it poor attention, and it’ll result in a poor plant – unpleasant to look at and a poor advertisement of your abilities. So do you have what you need to properly utilize social networking sites?
